There’s no better time to spring clean the house. It’s a task that you like to put off since there are normally better things to do. But since you’ve got to be at home all day, you can be productive and get it done. Start small with cupboards and closets. Get rid of items that you no longer need. Then you can start scrubbing surfaces, the oven and other places that require some elbow grease. You’ll feel very satisfied once it’s all done and like you’ve used your time wisely.

There are some fantastic recipes available online for free. Instead of getting bored of the same meals every night, why not try out a new recipe? Take a look at the food you have in your cupboard and refrigerator to see what you can make. Only go to the shops if it’s completely necessary. With a lot of spare time, this is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill. For example, if you’ve always wanted to learn how to play chess, purchase a board and instructions. After the winter months, the chances are, your garden could do with some work. If you have grass, now is the time to mow it and tidy up the lawn. You can even start planting vegetables and other flowers at this time of year. Fresh air will re-energize you when you’ve been stuck at home all day. Get outside and enjoy the rewarding experience of growing plants. In addition, when the summer rolls around, your garden will be ready to enjoy.
